We are seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our growing team. The position would primarily involve the preparation of construction plans for stormwater improvement projects, supporting the development of watershed management plans and supporting the company’s overall growth initiatives in this field.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of construction plans for stormwater improvement projects
- Develop solutions using Green Infrastructure (GI) and Low Impact Development (LID) principles
- Construct, modify, review, and analyze H&H models
- Prepare Preliminary Engineering Reports (PERs), Watershed Management Plans (WMPs) and similar technical reports
- Perform reviews to support FEMA Letter of Map Change (LOMCs) requests
- Review GIS data in support of model mapping and analysis
- Lead environmental permitting efforts
- Assist in the development of project proposals, scopes and fee estimates
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or similar field
- Florida Professional Engineering license required (or ability to obtain licensure within eighteen-months)
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a design and/or project management role
- Proficiency with StormWise (ICPR4), SWMM, HEC-RAS or similar programs
- Experience with ArcMap, ArcPro or similar programs
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and experience in permitting through multiple agencies
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
