Develop and aim your strong mechanical skills working on spindles and bearings, in support of the continued growth of the Spindle Repair Division. As an Industrial Repair Technician (internally called the role a Spindle Repair Technician) in the spindle rebuild department, you will focus on assembling, repairing, and building spindles in a clean-room environment for high end, very sophisticated CNC machines.
What's more you will have the chance to support the inspection, disassembly and part preparation processes as well as bearing measurements, fitments / preloads, assembly and other complex aspects of the business.
This 70 year old company is a local distributer of CNC machines providing service and engineering support to local clients.
Responsibilities
In short this role will support the continue growth of the business unit. This could include:
- Assembling and building spindles in a clean-room environment
- Support disassembly as needed
- Part preparation and inspection
- Some local driving as needed
- Other activities in support of the growth and development of the business unit
Qualifications
- Experience building / rebuilding spindles for industrial machinery
- A strong understanding of bearings would also be very beneficial
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office to document processes
- Ability to lift 50lbs
