Reports to: Director of Sales
Job Description:
This position would be for an Outside Sales / Technical Sales Engineer, and you would be required to call on existing PF Markey customers and more importantly develop new customers within this geographical region. Establish sales goals and a strategic plan to achieve sales growth. Work with our existing vendors to increase sales and continue to strengthen those partnership relationships. Sell both standard and special cutting tools by providing engineered solutions using sound engineering practices. Have a good working knowledge of all cutting tool manufacturers and their product lines. Aggressively promote all PF Markey services like; vending, integration, tool repair and tool regrind/recoat programs. Work closely with PF Markey management and attend all sales meetings, training seminars and trade shows when required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide world class service to all PF Markey customers, while providing those services in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
- Call on existing accounts and develop new accounts within your geographical region. Promote and sell PF Markey/Cline Tool manufactured products to the end users and select distribution as directed.
- Manage your sales territory; establish sales goals and strategic plan to achieve.
- Work with existing vendors to increase sales and strengthen relationships. Schedule vendors to work with our accounts on a regular and ongoing basis.
- Promote PF Markey vending program, integration and new machine retool programs.
- Act as a vital resource for technical questions related to manufacturing and quality processes
- Identify, create, and apply manufacturing best practices and standards
- Identify high-cost tooling, coordinate cost reduction activities and document process/savings.
- Other duties as assigned
Professional Experience Requirements:
- Proven track record of success in sales and business development, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales role.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills with the ability to develop and execute sales plans and initiatives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets in a competitive market environment.
- Experience in negotiating complex contracts and agreements.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in sales and marketing.
