What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Coordinator position at AFC Physical Medicine & Chiropractic Centers?
As Patient Care Coordinator with AFC of Phoenix, your work can have Purpose. You will be helping as many people as possible to get off medication, avoid surgery, and restore their health by connecting them with the care they need.
About the Role:
In this position you will meet with new patients to consult for their needs and goals. After they meet with our Chiropractors and Physician Assistants, you review with them their recommended treatment plan, insurance coverage, estimated patient responsibility and payment options. You will audit superbills and provider documentation for accuracy & completion and communicate with the billing team any changes in the patient’s plan. Duties also include assisting at the front desk, scanning, filing, and misc. administrative duties. Basic computer skills are a must-familiarity with Google Suite & Kareo is a huge plus!

- You have working knowledge of insurance (copay, coinsurance, deductible) and are able to do basic math computations, including percentages to calculate a patient’s out of pocket cost for their recommended care (based on the insurance verification)
