Agape Villages Foster Family Agency Overview

Agape Villages began in 1958 as Sierra Childrens Home helping abused and neglected children in a network of regional group homes. In 1995 we moved to foster family care, at which time the agency name changed to AGAPE VILLAGES. In the over half a century since 1958, we have served more than 6,000 of Californias most disadvantaged youth. We offer a variety of support services, and enrichment programs to our youth and families in over 15 counties in the Northern California region. Agape Villages remains committed to the same principles that energized the agencys founders: providing the very highe...st level of professional services to disadvantaged children and their families; devotion to the people who choose to provide loving foster care for homeless and disadvantaged children that depend on us to help them recover and reshape their futures. Agape Villages is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 agency. The state, counties, and local agencies make funding possible, and with charitable donors from our communities as well as our annual fundraising events and car donation program we are able to share the love of families with our foster children.
