CNC Programmer Machinist

- As a lead programmer, you work with AGM’s Design Engineers to ensure that new product designs can be efficiently machined.
More About our Shop’s Capabilities:
- AGM uses both FeatureCAM and MasterCAM, recognizing that both tools have their areas of expertise.
- AGM has two Mori NHX-5000 horizontal mills, with a six-pellet pull system. AGM has five Mazak lathes with dual-spindle, y-axis live tooling and one DMG Mori NLX-2000. AGM has five Haas VF series vertical mills with 4-axis capabilities.
- AGM recently activated our first robotic machine tending system, and we are excited to expand in this technology throughout the shop.
Qualifications:
- The CNC Programmer/Machinist position requires experience with Mazak, Haas, and DMG Mori CNC machining.
- This position requires experience with CNC programming utilizing Mastercam and/or Feature Cam, as well as experience with SolidWorks or similar Cad software.
- Mechanical abilities and proficiency in the operation and programming of machine shop equipment utilizing CAM software or manual programming and all common machine shop equipment and procedures are required. This includes the ability to proficiently read shop prints utilizing GDT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), material lists to modify production parts, preventive maintenance and minor repairs on shop equipment, and working with the Machine Shop Manager and Machine Shop Supervisor to optimize work schedules.
- Education/Experience: Must have at least an associate's degree or equivalent level of education, and related experience.
- Language Skills: Strong English communication skills (reading, writing and speaking).
- Math Skills: Must be proficient in technical math (algebra, geometry, trigonometry).
- Problem-Solving: Must have the ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand, walk, bend, and have good hand dexterity and hand-eye coordination to work with moving parts and small components.
Work Environment: Frequent exposure to mechanical parts, vibration, and hazardous materials. Safety equipment and PPE (personal protective equipment) are provided.

6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a half-hour lunch and two paid, ten-minute breaks per day.
40 hours per week excluding paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, and before any applicable overtime.
