Director Data Governance (onsite / hybrid)
Position Overview
As a key member of the Enterprise Risk Management team, you will be part of AgriBank's mission to support the people who feed the world. The Director Data Governance aligns data governance efforts with Bank strategy and leads the Bank in data governance best practices and data governance implementation and maintenance to ensure data is accessible, trustworthy, well-understood and well-governed. This position promotes consistency and efficiency in reporting, ensures confidential information is protected, and enhances the value of data as a strategic asset to the District.
The Director Data Governance also leads project management efforts critical to AgriBank's success, by defining project objectives, approving project plans and deliverables, communicating project updates and coordinating the efforts of SunStream Business Services, third party vendors, Associations and AgriBank resources.
Job Functions
Data Governance
- Develops and implements a comprehensive data governance framework aligned with the Bank's strategic objectives
- Prepares policies for approval by the Data Review Board, in compliance with applicable regulatory standards
- Participates in the Data Review Board and provides leadership to the District Data Council
- Leads communication and training program for data governance framework
- Manages the Business Intelligence function, ensuring reporting is accessible and optimized throughout the Bank
- Collaborates in determining data quality standards to ensure the reliability and validity of AgriBank's data
- Approves and ensures the implementation of data security measures, including user access control, encryption and auditing
- Provides updates to data governance stakeholders
- Ensures the identification, classification and documentation of critical data elements align with the Data Governance framework
- Educates stakeholders on data governance processes
- Works with Technology & Security Officer to develop and enhance data security framework
- Ensures data governance tool(s) are maintained, controlled and actively used by AgriBank employees
Project Management
Leads the Bank's project management efforts by developing, enhancing and implementing a project management frameworkPlans and leads cross-functional projects to implement new technologies, solve business problems, improve efficiency, and ensure stakeholder satisfactionAligns project management plans with the risk management framework, ensuring risks are identified and appropriately managedDevelops or approves project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilityDevelops or approves and leads the implementation of detailed project plans to monitor, track and communicate progressEstimates resource needs and budget and monitors resource utilizationProvides direction and feedback to project team membersCoordinates internal and external resources, facilitating communication between AgriBank ELT, resources, associations, SunStream Business Services, and external vendors to align project requirements and outcomesEnsures thorough project documentation is maintainedDevelops or approves testing plans and monitors testing to ensure testing is completed and necessary changes or corrections are madeEnsures transformation of business processes through communication and trainingChange Management

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field10 years of related experienceOr an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the jobCertified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification preferredKnowledge

The typical base range for this role is between $150,000 - $238,000. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
