About the Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Power BI Developer to join our IT Operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating and managing interactive dashboards and reports, utilizing DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for advanced data modeling, and integrating APIs for data connectivity. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
- Write complex DAX formulas for calculations and measures to enhance report functionality.
- Integrate external APIs to connect Power BI with various data sources and systems.
- Connect to Microsoft 365 via API to pull data and present insights effectively.
- Connect to Microsoft Intune via API to extract data and provide actionable reporting.
- Optimize Power BI datasets for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide data visualization solutions.
- Work as a strong technical business analyst to understand business processes and problems, developing tailored reporting and presentation solutions to address key challenges.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies and technical issues in Power BI.
- Implement security and access control measures within Power BI to ensure data integrity.
- Document development processes, solutions, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5 plus years proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for advanced calculations and data modeling.
- Experience in integrating and consuming APIs within Power BI.
- Strong understanding of Power BI Service, Power Query, and data transformation techniques.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing data sources.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Intune API integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
- Microsoft Power BI Certification is an advantage.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $90.00 - $94.00 per hour
Compensation Package:
- 1099 contract
