POSITION PURPOSE:
The job of the Central Office Receptionist provides administrative support to all functions within the Central Office Administration Building.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent and two years related work experience OR Associate’s Degree and two years of working experience
- Preferred Bilingualism
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver’s license issued by the NC Department of Motor Vehicles
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handling incoming calls and operating a switchboard
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Notifies personnel of visitor arrival
- Maintains security by following procedures, monitoring logbook, and visitor badges
- Keeps a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Accepting deliveries
- Ordering supplies for office machines
- Checking fax machine for incoming faxes and distributing them to appropriate staff members along with sending faxes for staff members
- Greeting visitors and managing the flow of traffic in the office
- Printing and placing normal postage on mail
- Ordering supplies for postage
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent

Work is considered medium physical work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force. Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling. |

Employees in this position are required to work in indoor and outdoor environments, and come into direct contact with ABSS staff, students and the public |
