Position Overview
We are looking for a Night Production Operations Manager to oversee overnight screen print and embroidery operations. This role ensures that production runs efficiently, quality standards are upheld, and all overnight shifts meet company deadlines. The Night Production Operations Manager will work closely with the Production Manager and department supervisors to align overnight operations with company goals, optimize workflow, and maintain a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
Overnight Production Management
- Oversee all screen print and embroidery operations during the night shift.
- Ensure all production goals and deadlines are met efficiently.
- Coordinate with the Production Manager and department supervisors to ensure smooth production transitions.
- Adjust and prioritize workflow based on order deadlines and production capacity.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols throughout the production floor.
Quality Control & Process Improvement
- Enforce strict quality control checks for all screen print and embroidery jobs.
- Conduct spot inspections to ensure orders meet customer specifications.
- Work with production teams and department supervisors to troubleshoot printing or embroidery issues.
- Optimize processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Ensure machines and equipment are maintained and operational throughout the shift.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and lead overnight production teams, ensuring staff stays on task.
- Train and develop employees to improve efficiency and quality.
- Address performance issues and provide feedback to improve team productivity.
- Ensure clear communication between night and day shift teams.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Track production numbers, efficiency, and spoilage rates, providing reports to the Production Manager and upper management.
- Work closely with the Vice President of Operations, Production Manager, and department supervisors to implement production improvements.
- Ensure inventory of production materials is stocked and available for overnight operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3 years of experience in screen printing, embroidery, or production management.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of screen printing and embroidery processes, troubleshooting, and quality control.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and problem-solve on the spot.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and maintaining high energy levels throughout.
