The Position: We're seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician or an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team at our Newhall, California office. This role offers a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys building teams and thrives on the challenge of growing and developing the organization. The candidate will work closely with management.

Requirements:
- Surgical assistance
- Venipuncture
- IV catheter placement
- Critical care nursing
- Pharmacology
- Radiology
Must be available on weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- RVT licensure or at least 3 years of experience working as a veterinary assistant.
Demonstrated competence in:
- Inventory
- Staff management; scheduling and training
- Customer Service
- Minimum of two years of experience in a busy general practice.
- Ability to work under broad general administrative supervision of the owners, with sound personal judgment in coaching, employee development, prioritization, decision-making, and drawing conclusions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide genuine care and concern for patients.
- Work with initiative and responsibility.
- Collaborate with our veterinarians to positively impact patient care.
- Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding healthcare-related issues.
