Job Summary
All Freight Transport is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics and ensuring efficient fleet management. The Dispatcher will be responsible for managing the flow of information between drivers, clients, and other team members to ensure timely deliveries and optimal routing.
Duties
- Manage incoming calls and utilize phone systems effectively to communicate with drivers and clients.
- Coordinate transportation planning and logistics to optimize routes and schedules.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Analyze transportation data to improve efficiency in fleet management.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including driver assignments and delivery statuses.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline operations.
- Respond promptly to any issues or delays that may arise during transport.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dispatching or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of transportation management principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to analyze data effectively for decision-making purposes.
- Familiarity with logistics software and phone systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- High school diploma or equivalent or further education in logistics or transportation management is a plus.
