PT Cashier/Customer Service

Description

Primary Objectives of Position:

This position is responsible for interacting with customers and team members, supporting selling initiatives and performing assigned tasks, while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities of the Position:

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts and have the ability to work varied hours, days, and weekends as dictated by business needs.
• Uphold and promote a safe and productive work environment by following policies and procedures.
• Provide a professional and positive representation of the cooperative.
• Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
• Greet customers entering and throughout the store.  Thank customers when they finish purchasing or leave the store.
• Ensure all calls are answered and returned promptly.
• Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to the store manager.
• Assist customers with loading purchases.
• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
• Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking of merchandise throughout the warehouse and the store. 
• Operate forklift with proper training.
• Operate cash register/computer following the cooperative's end of day procedures.
• Execute price changes.
• Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, warehouse, and outdoor sales area.
• Assist with inventory duties as assigned by store manager.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• 18 years of age or older
• Excellent cash handling skills  
• Be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
• Be able to stand for a long period of time, bend, kneel, and have good finger and wrist dexterity
