Maintenance Technician
- Develops and coordinates the implementation and administration of a schedule of planned preventive and predictive maintenance for equipment machinery tools or buildings.
- Reviews manufacturers service manuals and records of maintenance problems to determine optimum frequency of preventive maintenance (PM).
- Studies production and operation schedules and confers with other staff and other supervisors to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with the operation of the establishment.
- Estimates costs of personnel parts and supplies to be used during scheduled maintenance.
- Inspection maintenance repair and optimization of machine tools to ensure their efficient and safe operation.
- Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and maximize the productivity of machine tools.
Responsibilities : Troubleshooting :
Repair or replace defective equipment parts.
o Plumbing repairs (e.g. fixing leaks unclogging drains)
o Electrical repairs (e.g. replacing light fixtures repairing outlets)
o HVAC maintenance (e.g. filter replacement troubleshooting)
o Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including work orders inventory and equipment maintenance logs.
Qualifications :
Essential Skills and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machine tool maintenance
or a related field is preferred. (Millwright)
Proven experience as a machine tool maintenance technician or similar role.
Proficiency in reading technical manuals blueprints and schematics.
Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of various types of machine tools and their components.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
Welding machining and fabrication skills.
Understanding of safety regulations and practices.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to lift up to 5070 lbs.
