We are currently looking to add an Assistant Automotive Service Manager to manage overall production of the used car service center at Kia.
Assistant Automotive Service Manager Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operations, personnel, and profitability of the Service Department
- Hiring and supervising all service department personnel, as well as monitoring their performance
- Oversee the service department, technicians, porters, and detailers
- Attend manager meetings and conduct weekly service dept. meetings
- Works with HR to make service department hiring and discipline decisions
- Interact with outside vendors and other dealership management
- Providing training on administrative policies and procedures for all department personnel. Encouraging technicians to keep their skills up-to-date through periodic technical training on new systems and components offered by the automotive manufacturers
- Maintains a professional appearance and neat work area for self and subordinates
- Other duties as assigned
Assistant Automotive Service Manager Job Requirements
- Previous experience as a service manager is preferred
- Extensive technical background with management training
- Required to not only understand and keep abreast of the federal, state, and local regulations that affect their operations, but must also comply with these regulations including hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know and provide necessary training on these regulations and ethical practices
- Professional certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is preferred
- Dealertrack DMS experience preferred
- Outstanding communication skills
- State inspection certification
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $125,000.00 per year
