Job Summary
Aloha Behavioral Consultants is seeking a dedicated and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a critical role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle patient needs with care and efficiency. This role also involves managing new patient intakes, coordinating tasks with providers, and supporting a wide range of services, including primary care, mental health, psychiatric, and substance use treatment.
Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction
- Greet and welcome patients with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Manage check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy in patient accounts.
- Assist patients with scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments.
- Facilitate the intake process for new patients, including gathering necessary documentation and verifying insurance.
- Administrative Duties
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain organized and accurate patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collect and process co-pays, payments, and insurance information.
- Ensure the front desk and waiting area are clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Patient and Provider Coordination
- Coordinate tasks and communication between patients and providers to ensure seamless care.
- Support providers by managing schedules, reminders, and follow-ups for appointments.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to primary care, mental health, psychiatric, and substance use services.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with therapists, medical staff, and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Assist with administrative projects and tasks as needed.
Experience and Skills
- Previous experience in a medical office or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in using EHR systems and general office software; training will be provided as needed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on building positive relationships.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, billing processes, and new patient intake procedures is a plus.
Schedule and Requirements
- Full-time availability with flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Must pass a Background Check Investigation (BCI).
