Growing Staten Island based company seeks Office Assistant. Our company transports patients from home to hospitals, clinics and doctor offices.
Responsibilities
- Assist Dispatch and Operations team members
- Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information
- Verify patient insurance coverage’s, benefits, and co-pays
- Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
- Acts as a liaison to hospitals, healthcare provider, facilities, patients, patient’s family members and patient caretakers
- Assist in monitoring the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
- Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
Skills
- Tech-savvy with knowledge of relevant methods (CAD)
- Microsoft Office and excel
- Fast typing with experience in data entry
- Knowledge of procedures and guideline for emergency situations
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
- Active listener with excellent communication skills
- Sound judgment and critical thinking
- High school diploma
Bilingual (Spanish/Russian) a PLUS!
