Job Summary:
The Accountant II is responsible for accurate and timely payment of invoices, preparing various reconciliations and required journal entries, and maintaining fixed assets and prepaids.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Enter invoices to ensure timely payment.
- Research and resolve accounts payable issues and correct discrepancies with vendors.
- Process payments for company credit cards and expense reimbursements.
- Maintain prepaids and fixed assets in BankTEL.
- Monitor Bank deposit accounts and resolve positive pay issues.
- Process deposits for the Bank and ensure receivables for rent, analysis fees, and other items are obtained.
- Assist with monitoring the federal and correspondent banks funds positions.
- Prepare appropriate general ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Perform daily and monthly analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and work with bank staff to identify exceptions and methods of correction.
- Assist Controller and other management with projects as assigned.
- Serve as backup to the Accountant I and Accountant III.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding all Bank financials and employment information.
- Proven accuracy with numbers.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to adjust to high volume periods.
- Ability to function effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- General knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance required.
- 3 years of accounting experience required.
- 2 years of experience in corporate finance and/or financial accounting required.
- Banking experience preferred.
