The crew behind American Financial Resources (AFR) is looking for candidates for future Account Manager roles to manage a portfolio of wholesale clients and ensuring a smooth loan process from application to closing. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. The Account Manager will work closely with clients, internal teams, and external partners to achieve loan closing goals.
In this role you will…
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale clients and partners.
- Proactively communicate with clients regarding loan status and underwriting conditions.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve client inquiries.
- Review loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Collect and verify required documentation.
- Submit loan files to underwriting and closing departments.
- Manage a robust pipeline of loan applications, prioritizing and tracking progress.
- Monitor loan progress through the pipeline and identify potential issues.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the processing phase.
- Conduct pre-closing reviews, including verifying employment, pulling flood certificates, and inputting necessary information into the LOS.
- Review APRs when loan modifications occur to ensure compliance and send new disclosures.
- Review, verify, and update approval conditions.
- Input HOI, tax, title, and broker fees.
- Review and clear documents submitted by brokers.
- Verify tax transcripts have been received when applicable.
- Distribute updated conditional approvals to brokers and/or borrowers.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Respond to phone and email inquiries regarding loan status and approvals.
- Other duties as needed based on skill and experience.

- Are proficient in mortgage loan origination systems, such as Encompass.
- Have a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Are a problem-solver who can identify and resolve issues.
- Can adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
- Are a team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Have a basic understanding of mortgage industry regulations and guidelines.
