American Howa Kentucky, Inc. is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. Your expertise in facilities maintenance, electrical systems, and customer service will be essential in providing a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on equipment and systems.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues or malfunctions.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments.
- Collaborate with other team members to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Make modifications to existing equipment as required.
- Ensure equipment meets NEC, OSHA, and AHK’s regulations.
- Perform PM inspections as required, complete with all repairs.
- Minimize downtime by effective use of resources including response time, technical expertise, tools, spare parts, and external contacts.
- Work inside manufacturing facility, with some facility needs outside the perimeter.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, schematics, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
- Proficient in using CMMS software to track and manage maintenance activities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical diagrams.
- Must have good mathematical and communication.
- Ability to use testing and troubleshooting equipment.
- Must have a good understanding of rigging, cranes, etc.
- Must have a general knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Must be able to pay good attention to detail.
- Must have a basic knowledge of drafting (blueprint reading, dimension drawings, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of computer applications (Excel, Word & others)
- Basic knowledge of Electrical including PLC.
- Must pose ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to provide own tools needed for this position.
- Must be able to work extended hours as needed to meet customer requirements.
- Fork Truck / Crane / Tugger certified.
- Motor Control, PLC, and Ladder Logic.
- Basic Electrical and Mechanical Theory.
Physical:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Frequent bending, stooping, and stretching; being able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to walk for prolonged periods of time.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 2 year degree from a technical college or minimum of 5 years on the job experience within a manufacturing or industrial facility.
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance with an emphasis on electrical, mechanical and controls application.
