PROJECT ARCHITECT / PROJECT MANAGERBGKT Architects - Houston is seeking a Project Architect with 8 to 20 years experience, energetic and confident, with a collaborative spirit and strong organization and communication skills. Experience in hospitality-hotel design or multi-family is preferred. Ours is a small Architecture firm experiencing rapid growth, with offices in Memphis TN and Houston TX, and over 30 years of respected experience in civic and hospitality design, recognized as a preferred vendor for all major hotel brands and for design excellence and quality service to repeat-clients from coast-to-coast.RESPONSIBILITIESDesign concepts and solutions mainly Hotel and Mixed-Use projectsAccurate and thorough production of Construction DocumentsMaintain Quality Control with interest in setting standardsSelf-directed CAD input and checking of othersCoordinate with consultants and team membersShop Drawing review and Contractor RFI’sSupervision and mentoring of other team membersCommunications with management, clients, consultants and contractors related to daily business operationsGrowth – advancement to project management, poised for career growthQUALIFICATIONSReady and able – to run your own projects, work both independently and in team settingOrganized – ability to plan, schedule and effectively manage project teamQuality minded and self-motivatedDiligent – strong devotion to service clients, meet schedules, and “own” the work productKnowledge – design principles, building techniques and detail documentationRegulations – experienced in-depth knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements and permit processREVIT – demonstrate a thorough knowledge base from project initiation to CD completion. Swing back-and-forth to AutoCAD as well. Bluebeam, Sketchup, Photoshop, Word and ExcelLicensed Architect with 8 to 20 years experience.
