Director of Emergency Services
Location: Sanford, NC
Reports To: Chief Nursing Officer
Salary Range: $110,000 – $125,000
Signing Bonus: $10,000 Commitment Incentive (paid quarterly in the first year)
Relocation Package: Full Support Available
Position Overview:
The Director of Emergency Services oversees clinical operations and procedural units within our Emergency Department. This includes staff development, resource management, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. You’ll ensure policies are followed, patient throughput is optimized, and the department operates within budget.
Our Emergency Department features 14 rooms, with an expansion to 20 rooms expected by December 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring compliance with policies and safe staffing levels.
- Develop and oversee the department budget.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure patient safety.
- Foster staff professional development and ensure annual competency completion.
- Collaborate with the CNO and administrative team on key decisions.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role (Manager or higher) within an Emergency Department in the last 5 years.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Active RN license in North Carolina (or compact state).
- American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
