We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting precise measurements and assessments of underground and surface work areas, ensuring that projects are built according to specifications. The Surveyor will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of various projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent as-built surveys of underground mined excavation geometries and other miscellaneous features daily.
- Utilize surveying equipment and technology to collect data accurately.
- Collaborate with engineers and mining teams to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare detailed maps showing as-built data along with planned mining and survey directions.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed.
- Adhere to MSHA regulations and safety standards while performing duties.
- Maintain accurate records of all surveying activities and findings.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of MSHA regulations related to site safety.
- Experience with horizontal drilling techniques is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, and technical drawings.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members.
- Previous experience in the mining industry is advantageous.
