JOB DESCRIPTION:
The role of the IOP Lead is to provide administrative oversight and supervision to the assigned staff while working closely with the clinical team. The IOP lead aids individuals in establishing and maintaining individual recovery from addiction and mental illness. The IOP Lead will also help people in recovery to improve their quality of life through connecting them to social, spiritual and peer support.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Minimum two (2) years of education focused on nursing, psychology, social service, medicine or related field preferred.
Experience:
Training or experience in substance abuse and/or behavioral health services; preferred.
Certification:
TB test, Healthcare Provider CPR and First Aid, Handle with Care within the first 90 days of hire and annually thereafter. Fingerprint Clearance Card as stated in ARC Polices. Recovery Support Specialist ( RSS)/ Peer Support Specialist (PSS) preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Must be able to interact positively with clients daily whose behavior may be difficult, uncooperative or aggressive.
- Must be able to perform concentrated and/or complex mental activity with frequent involvement in complex and/or highly technical situations.
- Must be able to work successfully under highly stressful conditions.
- Must be able to make sound, independent judgments based on scientific and/or ethical principles.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Knowledge of community / recovery resources.
- Must have the ability to work both as a team member and independently.
- Must possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License and current driving background to transport clients and/or staff, or drive facility vehicles.
- Must be capable of adapting to varying workloads and work assignments on a constant basis
- Skill in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines
- Strong management skills
- Strong crisis management skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
- Must be able to demonstrate special training, knowledge and skills, as well as job and/or program specific competency within the first three (3) months of training, and annually thereafter.
- Must be certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/ First Aid with in 90 days of employment and recertified every 2 years thereafter.
- Must complete all required mandatory in-services annually.
- Must be tested for Tuberculosis with a PPD skin test or chest x-ray; PPD skin test required annually, or chest x-ray as indicated.
- Must be certified in HWC within the first three (3) months of hire and annually thereafter
