Position Summary

The Annie E. Casey Foundation is offering a spring internship to work with its Research and Evaluation team. This internship, designed for graduate-level students, will provide a qualified candidate with engaging, challenging project-based assignments, cross-team exposure and learning opportunities.

This is a paid, hybrid internship that will run from February 3 to April 18, 2024. The position will report to a senior research associate.

As an Intern you will:

  • Participate and contribute to team, unit and foundation-wide meetings as needed.
  • Support the data and research needs of community-based organizations and grantees.
  • Co-develop a training on research for capacity building.
  • Develop relevant blogs; present to Foundation staff on topic of specialization in program of study.
  • Learn about the intersection of research and philanthropic sectors including grant-making and budget processes.
  • Gain an understanding of equitable research and evaluation practices and community-engaged methods.
  • Support planning and execution of Foundation and grantee-hosted events.
  • Collaborate with consultants on place-based initiatives to enhance data efforts related to juvenile justice youth diversion and prevention.

The intern should be should be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited college or university.  We encourage students majoring in social science, criminal justice, public health, public policy or a related field apply.
