Job Responsibilities as a Project Manager - Consultant in ESG :
Support Apex's growing Sustainability and ESG Consulting Services Practice. The Sustainability / ESG Project Manager will support the Practice's consulting work on initiatives including, but not limited to the items listed below.
Successful candidates for this role enjoy problem solving, are comfortable working with large datasets and quantitative analysis, and have effective communication skills.
- Support and manage a variety of sustainability-related projects for external clients
o Conduct materiality assessments (double, CSRD, and single).
o Support / Lead the evaluation of climate change risks and opportunities (and / or other sustainability-related risks and opportunities), including climate scenario analysis.
o Assist clients in aligning their ESG / Sustainability programs / disclosures to regulations (like California Climate Accountability Package, CSRD, CSDDD, and others) as well as voluntary frameworks / standards (GRI, IFRS, SASB, TCFD, CDP, EcoVadis, etc.).
o Conduct ESG / Sustainability program, strategy, and disclosure Gap Assessments.
o ESG / Sustainability strategy road maps (for example, decarbonization plans, etc.).
o Create inventory management plans for greenhouse gases and other sustainability / ESG metrics.
o Develop sustainability inventories, such as GHG, water, and waste for stakeholder and public reporting.
o Support technical lead in monitoring and communicating developing market trends, and regulatory changes to clients and internal stakeholders.
o Assist in the establishment of goals, targets, and KPI's for organizations and management teams (including informal targets and targets aligned with the Science-Base Target Initiative).
