What are the responsibilities and job description for the PK Instructional Assistant position at Archdiocese of Indianapolis?
St. Matthew Catholic School on the Northside of Indianapolis is looking for an Instructional Assistant for our PreKindergarten program. The Early Childhood program at SMS includes one Preschool class (3-year-olds) and two PreKindergarten classes (4-year-olds) . The ideal candidate will have experience in a childcare / early learning school setting supervising children and collaborating with coworkers. A PreK Assistant is responsible for assisting with small / large group activities, supervision of children for safety and general operations in the classroom. The ideal candidate has a disposition that includes flexibility, patience, positivity, and sensitivity to the needs of the children. He/she should have excellent listening skills.
This is a part-time, hourly, school-year position for the 2025-2026 school year. The ability to speak Spanish is desired but is not required.
