What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Specialist position at Aristeo Construction?

Position Responsibilities:
- Assist with sourcing, negotiating prices, and the buying of goods, materials, and services
- Generate PO’s and/or revise PO’s as needed
- Assist the Purchasing Manager with fabrication documentation, such as drawings, cut lists, and shop releases
- Support the team with purchasing reporting and material settlement invoice payments through accurate validation
Required Skills
- Ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written format
- Strong analytic skills and accuracy to details
- Ability to read and understand plans, shop drawings and specifications required
- Ability to identify structural steel materials
- Strong computer skills
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent or 1-3 years of structural steel purchasing or 5-10 years of structural steel fabrication experience
- Experience with Viewpoint, Fabsuite and Bluebeam preferred
- Experience Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
