What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Associate position at Arkansas Poly & Printing?
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Associate to join our team. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. You will coordinate activities in shipping, receiving, delivering and storing polyethylene packaging materials and any associated supplies needed in the production of those materials. DOT compliance experience preferred.
Duties:
- Ensure inbound freight and outbound carriers meet our SQF requirements such as: shipping logs, work order information and copies of bills of lading, COCs, COAs and ASNs as required by customers.
- Ensure all warehouse activities meet safety, housekeeping, SQF and GMP policies and procedures.
- Follows established DOT regulations for weight limits, safely loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- Coordinate with our 3PL providers to ensure seamless logistics and delivery.
- Perform warehouse operations, including receiving and shipping goods, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Opeartes forklift to deliver or pick-up orders and supplies throughout the plant.
- Bands, stretch wraps and otherwise prepares products for shipment.
- Inventories finished goods and raw materials at the end of each inventory period.
- Monitors warehouse equipment, working conditions and operating methods for safety. Repairs or reports any unsafe conditions.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that our warehouse operations are aligned with the needs of the organization.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
Skills:
- High School Diploma, or GED, plus 3 years' experience in Warehouse, Shipping, or Inventory Management.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including experience with forklifts and other heavy machinery.
- Proven track record of process improvement and implementing changes that increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Experience with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Basic Microsoft Office computer skills.
- Excellent team management and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with OSHA and SQF regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
