ROLE AND PURPOSE: The Department seeks an analytical, self-motivated team member to assist in managing program evaluation and institutional research for the District. This individual will support policy making in enrollment management, organizational performance, and outcomes assessment. The Analyst should have applied experience with sophisticated statistical analysis and iterative model-building.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- Master's degree from an accredited higher education institution required
Experience:
- Sophisticated work application and formal training in educational research and evaluation methodologies
- Three years of comprehensive reporting of statistical analyses OR two years of combined statistical analysis, research design, relevant consulting experience, and high-quality research synthesis (i.e., broad-scoping literature reviews) in an academic setting
- Experience effectively communicating complex ideas and strategies with various stakeholder groups
- Working knowledge of SPSS, R, or SAS, and Excel
- Hands-on experience with survey design is preferred (e.g., item bank development, focus groups, factor analysis, etc.)
Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize to meet strict deadlines; comfort with ambiguity

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
I. SCHOOL/ORGANIZATION CLIMATE
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills while serving clients, working with colleagues, and training stakeholders regarding the interpretation of data at the district and campus levels
- Contribute significantly to the service commitment of the department
- Demonstrate readiness to assist in carrying out various functions of the department
- Establishes and maintains a clear line of communication with program managers
II. SCHOOL/ORGANIZATIONAL IMPROVEMENT
- Work closely with the Director and Assistant Superintendent in planning, developing, and implementing all data systems necessary for the production of district-wide and campus evaluation work
- Facilitate focus groups and brainstorming sessions with departmental leaders and other District stakeholders
- Provide interdepartmental strategic consulting support to help identify data needs, insights, and opportunities for impact on organizational effectiveness (e.g., student outcomes)
- Manage district-wide survey development and distribution
- Lead the development of accurate and compelling of high-impact PowerPoint presentations, memos, and data visualization communicating evaluation findings and recommendations to District leadership
- Leverage external evidence from beyond the District to inform strategic planning efforts
- Generate district and campus reports of student performance on district and state assessments
- Develop and maintain a system of statistical programs to generate district and campus data for(a) accountability rating predictions, (b) curriculum assessment results, (c) progress monitoring toward established goals, and (d) comprehensive needs assessments
III. INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT
- Design and manage in-person and asynchronous online district-wide development pertaining to academic- return on Investment, fidelity of implementation and logic models
- Supports instruction by providing assessment analyses and program evaluations that inform the decision making of campus and district programming
- Collaborate with program owners through support of supplementary and complementary data analyses for official program evaluations
- Conducts all designated aspects of the program evaluation function in the department
IV. SCHOOL/COMMUNITY RELATIONS
- Communicate effectively with campus leaders and senior District staff regarding the requirements, features, substance, and summative aggregations of district and state assessment, accountability, and program effectiveness data
- Inform reports to the Superintendent and Board of Trustees
V. PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
- Keep abreast of technical and professional trends or developments impacting assigned projects; disseminate information to appropriate personnel as needs dictate
- Provide local training and direction for school administrators and applicable staff regarding the interpretation and use of data, formative and summative evaluations of district programs, and other areas of assessment where directed
VI. MISCELLANEOUS
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Director
- Prepares and regularly revises a comprehensive program evaluation plan delineating tasks, products, and timelines
- Assists the Director in prioritizing tasks in the department and communicating duties to department clerical staff
