Job Title: Account Manager

Location: Troy, Michigan

The Account Manager will be responsible for nurturing and managing key customer relationships while identifying and developing new business opportunities. Successful candidates will possess a deep understanding of metal stamping, tooling, and automation, along with proven success in automotive sales, customer relationship management (CRM), and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing GM accounts and new markets.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Understand customer needs and challenges, offering tailored solutions to meet their technical and business requirements.
  • Regularly monitor and report on customer account performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and quality service, addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Manage contract renewals, pricing adjustments, and ongoing negotiations to optimize account profitability.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and product demonstrations to prospective customers.
  • Assist with development and execution of business development plans to expand the company’s market presence.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote ArtiFlex’s solutions and build relationships with potential partners.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales pipelines, and account activities are maintained in SalesForce.com.
  • Use data to analyze sales trends, forecast revenue, and track business development performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Successful business relationships with General Motors
  • 5 years of experience in account management and/or business development, preferably in the automotive metal stamping, automotive tooling, or automation industries.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technical specifications related to metal stamping and tooling.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing business relationships.
  • Experience managing and utilizing CRM systems to drive customer engagement and business growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites, industry events, and company locations as required.
