Assistant Teacher/Floater

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children. This role is essential in fostering a love for learning and assisting with the development of age-appropriate curriculum and activities. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with children, helping them to develop their literacy skills, manage behavior, and engage in classroom activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and curriculum development tailored to the needs of the students.
• Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment conducive to learning.
• Engage with children during activities, promoting social skills and encouraging participation.
• Help supervise children during playtime, meals, and other activities to ensure safety and well-being.
• Provide support for special education needs, adapting lessons as necessary to meet diverse learning requirements.
• Foster literacy education through reading sessions and interactive storytelling.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and behavior management strategies.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that promotes learning.

Experience

• Previous experience working with children in a daycare, private school, or early childhood education setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and special education practices is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of classroom dynamics and the ability to assist in creating an inclusive environment for all students.
• Experience in curriculum development or literacy education is a plus, enhancing the educational experience provided to students.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.50 - $12.50 per hour
