What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher position at Asbury Child Development Center?
We are seeking an assistant teacher to join our team!
Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a high school diploma or GED or currently enrolled in high school.
- Previous experience working in a licensed center.
- Each employee must pass a KBI background check and comprehensive finger-print based background check.
- Be free of physical or mental illness that would interfere with ability to perform job duties.
General Requirements:
- Assist Lead Teacher in completing required documents that include:
- Weekly Lesson Plans
- Point of Service Meal Count
- Ensure bulletin boards and classroom parent boards are kept up to date.
- Ensure that parent/caregiver relationships are strong with open lines of communication.
- Attend meetings and training courses when scheduled.
- Provide a relaxed, social setting for family style meal service according to CACFP regulations.
- Ensure that CACFP regulations are implemented for every meal.
- Ensure children are safe and secure on the playground.
- Ensure classroom and schedules meet the KDHE regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
