The Tax Director at ASG is responsible for supporting the organization and providing expert tax guidance. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations and a proven track record of delivering successful results

What we offer:
Pay Scale: $120,000 - $135,000 / year

What you’ll do: (Including, but not limited to):
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the organization's tax compliance and planning activities
- Lead the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns in collaboration and coordination with outside tax professionals
- Identify and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability
- Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Manage tax audits and negotiations with government agencies
- Provide tax guidance and support to business units and senior management
- Stay up-to-date on tax laws and regulations and communicate any changes to relevant stakeholders
- Develop and maintain relationships with tax authorities and external tax advisors
What you’ll need:
General
- Bachelor’s degree in Taxation or related field, CPA preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and presentation abilities
- Proven track record in strategic tax planning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and manage relationships with tax authorities and external advisors
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
Desired
- 10 years of experience in tax management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Extensive experience in corporate tax within a large organization
- Proficiency with tax software and financial reporting systems
