POSITION:	Secondary Assistant Principal
LOCATION:	Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center, 1783 State Route 60, Ashland, Ohio 44805
CERTIFICATION:	Ohio High School Principal Certification/ Licensure required and prefer OTES 2.0 Certified
QUALIFICATIONS:	Masters Degree and appropriate licensure/certification through the Ohio Department of Education. Five (5) years teaching experience and up-to-date background in school law. Highly motivated, strong organizational, leadership, communication, human relations, classroom management, team and public relations/community, instructional and administrative skills. Extensive knowledge of academic curricula, instructional improvement strategies and a proven interest to work with students, parents, staff, businesses, community organizations and associate district schools. A strong knowledge of special education. Knowledge and experience in High School That Work (HSTW) school improvement model and in a career and technical area.
DUTIES:	Work closely with the Secondary Principal & other district administrators to supervise the academic curricula as assigned, HSTW curricula and assist and lead the district as needed. Supervise staff, write curriculum, staff development, student discipline, student. attendance, coordinate advisory committees, and work with guidance personnel. Complete staff observations and evaluations. Participation in extracurricular activities. Other duties as assigned by Secondary Principal and/or Superintendent.
START DATE:	2024-2025 School Year
SALARY RANGE & BENEFITS:	Appropriate placement on the Board adopted Administrative Salary Schedule based on certification/licensure, qualifications, education and experience.
WORK YEAR:	260 days, July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025
