What are the responsibilities and job description for the QHSE Manager position at Ashtead Technology?
What you’ll be doing:
As QHSE Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and wellbeing focused work environment for our people. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining and continuously improving the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring company policies are effectively implemented and all local regulatory requirements are adhered to.
Some other key responsibilities will include:
- Policies and Procedures - ensuring QHSE policies and the IMS are well communicated, displayed, understood, and implemented across the region
- Training and Development – identifying, developing, and conducting local QHSE training on a regular basis and providing coaching and mentoring to employees regarding QHSE processes, adopting a “One Team” approach
- Compliance and Risk Management – conducting internal and external audits and reviewing all Non-Conformance Reports to ensure that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are put in place and that all QHSE related incidents are reported, investigated and resolved in a timely manner
- Stakeholder Engagement – monitoring vendor quality and HSE performance; verifying corrective actions to ensure effectiveness and handling of customer complaints; ensuring they are resolved satisfactorily with necessary measures taken to prevent recurrence
- Documentation - Document and Data Control of local documents including overseeing and maintaining export compliance records for all US movements
- Reporting – regular reporting on QHSE performance to the Regional VP and Group QHSE team, including formal monthly reports
