Description
Responsible for all aspects of Human Resources Management including employee relations, recruiting/retention, organizational development, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, regulatory compliance, strategic/succession planning, and training.
Requirements
Primary duties (tasks) and responsibilities that the employee will be performing while on the job.
- Adheres to Aspiro’s mission, core values, policies and procedures, applicable rules and regulations, contracts, service agreements, licensing, etc.
- Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship among peers/staff through honest, supportive interactions and integrity.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within leadership team and with department managers and as a liaison to various community representatives involved with Aspiro services/partnerships.
- Provides budgetary input, monitors revenues and expenses, and supports the overall organizational goals of Aspiro. In addition, develops, reviews, and maintains organizational structure for Aspiro.
- Ensures agency compliance with all employment laws, rules, and regulations. Stay abreast of all Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep informed of new developments and make changes accordingly.
- Attend workshops, conferences, seminars, etc. to support ongoing knowledge of the Human Resources field and the organization.
- Coach/counsel leaders regarding any/all performance issues, disciplinary actions and/or termination process. Manage investigation, documentation, and resolution in an unbiased manner.
- Administer all benefits programs including annual changes, support of transition to new benefits, negotiations, broker changes and related support, etc.
- Update and maintain compensation system for Aspiro which includes job descriptions, internal and external compensation data, job classifications (exempt, non-exempt) and salary ranges.
- Oversight of maintaining performance management system to include probationary and annual performance appraisal tools, performance management philosophy, and a tracking system to ensure timely completion.
- Protects and safeguards all confidential information about its employees, clients, propriety information on Aspiro and its operations.
- Oversees hiring process to include establishing effective networks, appropriate postings of positions, maintain candidate database, coordination of interviews, hiring, on-boarding and orientation, communication, and metrics.
- Participates in and supports Aspiro’s internal activities, special events, and community goodwill by volunteering for these functions and encourages his/her staff to actively support Aspiro’s mission, vision, and values.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Ability to lift and/or move items up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office setting. May be required to travel to different locations/business settings for meetings, etc.

Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or equivalent. Certification preferred (PHR, CP, SPHR, or SCP).
Experience: 5-10 years of expertise in Human Resources. Prior experience in a leadership role (3-5 years). Non-profit experience a plus.
Cell phone: A working cell phone is required.
Driver's License: A valid Wisconsin driver's license is required.
Personal Vehicle: A personal vehicle is required and must have insurance that meets Wisconsin's minimal requirements.
Hours: Typically, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4 pm, with occasional nights and weekends.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Microsoft Office computer skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work with diverse individuals and groups.
