Position Summary : We are looking for a Director of Posting Services to join our Technology Enabled Services team. This person will report directly to the Vice President of Financial Processing & Posting Services and will play a crucial role in helping our company manage its revenue services effectively.
In this position, the Director will help plan, develop, and implement strategies that support our company's goals. They will work to strengthen athenahealth's position in the market and promote a culture of innovation and commitment within the organization.
You should be a natural leader who inspires and motivates others. You need to understand business strategies well and use that knowledge to create solutions that improve our services. You should be able to adapt your team to meet different needs while keeping an eye on priorities that will help achieve budget and quality goals. This role requires supporting a fast-growing company in a changing and regulated industry. You will foster a shared mindset and team spirit across the organization and lead by example.
Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities) :
30% Service Design, Execution and Reporting
Implement improvements to processes that support Posting Services to enhance performance and scalability, ultimately benefiting our clients' revenue management.
Manage forecasts, budgets, and quality performance outcomes.
Oversee standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operations reporting.
Maintain expertise in service lines to address and resolve specific customer issues.
Monitor outcomes related to service queues and implement necessary fixes.
30% Driving Execution
Achieve results by maximizing opportunities for improvement in revenue management for customers.
Encourage teams to adopt best practices from other teams.
Participate in planning sessions and contribute to the annual strategic planning process.
Remove obstacles that hinder productivity and help your team stay focused.
Communicate the team’s vision and strategy to ensure everyone understands the direction and reasoning behind decisions.
Build trust through consistent accountability and communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
40% Team Management
Manage execution within defined roles and responsibilities of your team members.
Coach and mentor your team, and also support other management team members.
Set and monitor annual performance goals and conduct performance reviews.
Identify training needs for your team and provide development opportunities.
Recommend or initiate personnel actions as needed.
Education & Experience Required :
A Bachelor’s Degree is required; a degree in a related field is preferred.
At least 5 years of professional experience, including 3-5 years in project management.
A strong understanding of the healthcare or health IT environment is a plus.
Knowledge & Skills :
Ability to apply business strategies to achieve important work and meet organizational goals.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with and influence all levels of management and collaborate with various business functions.
Experience managing multiple detailed and time-sensitive tasks to ensure they are completed accurately.
Experience in shaping strategic objectives at the executive level and translating them into actionable business plans with measurable outcomes.
Familiarity with working in an Agile development environment.
