POSITION SUMMARY
The Program Administrator in the Teaching and Learning Department is a key leader responsible for supporting the implementation of district-wide initiatives, managing complex projects, and ensuring alignment of services across the division. This role includes managing resources, grants, and instructional projects while maintaining constant communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The Program Administrator ensures efficiency, consistency, and alignment in the delivery of teaching and learning services to advance student achievement and district goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Leadership of Teaching and Learning Initiatives:

  • Lead district-wide initiatives such as the curriculum adoption process, professional learning sessions, school turnaround support strategy development, and special projects related to teaching and learning.
  • Develop research-based solutions to academic and instructional challenges, ensuring alignment with district goals and best practices.
  • Act as an extension of the Assistant Superintendent, providing strategic support to ensure the alignment and efficiency of services across the Teaching and Learning Division.

Project Management and Strategic Coordination:

  • Manage complex projects with multiple workstreams, utilizing project management tools to track progress and ensure timely completion.
  • Break down complex problems, communicate solutions in a clear and compelling manner, and support informed decision-making across the department.
  • Collaborate with departments to maintain consistency of practice and ensure timely support for schools and stakeholders.

Resource and Grants Management:

  • Maintain and oversee a comprehensive inventory of instructional resources, ensuring equitable access and efficient use across the district.
  • Develop and manage grant applications, budgets, and compliance requirements, preparing reports as needed to ensure adherence to guidelines.

Professional Learning and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Coordinate professional learning sessions, including logistics, materials, and participant communication, to align with district instructional goals.
  • Facilitate ongoing communication and collaboration with district leaders, school staff, and community partners to drive successful program implentation.

Continuous Improvement and Reporting:

  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare detailed reports to inform district leadership of program progress, outcomes, and areas of need

MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s preferred

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

  • Certification in education, educational leadership or program administration preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Three (3) years of experience in education, program administration, project management, or a related field required.

Pay Grade : 135

  • Technology Proficiency: Skilled in project management software, data analysis tools, and standard office applications to support efficient workstreams.

Strength: Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry objects which weigh as much as 15 or more pounds on a frequent basis.
Environmental Requirements: Ability to encounter constant work interruptions; work cooperatively with others; work independently; work indoors.
Mental Requirements: Ability to read, write, understand, interpret and apply information at a moderately complex level essential for successful job performance; math skills at a high school proficiency level; judgement and the ability to process information quickly; learn quickly and follow verbal procedures and standards; give verbal instruction; rank tasks in order of importance; copy, compare, compile and coordinate information and records. Understand how to manage stress

Additional Work Conditions & Physical Abilities: Will require travel to multiple sites.
