We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gardener to join our team. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and health of our outdoor spaces through a variety of tasks including pruning, bush trimming, planting, and clean-ups. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to excellence in their work.

Responsibilities:

• Pruning and Trimming: Trim and prune trees, shrubs, and bushes to maintain their shape, promote growth, and ensure they are free from disease and pests.
• Planting: Assist in planting flowers, trees, and other vegetation according to landscape plans and specifications. Ensure proper spacing, depth, and care requirements are met for each plant.
• Weeding and Maintenance: Regularly weed garden beds and remove debris to maintain a clean and tidy appearance. Monitor for signs of pests and diseases, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks.
• Clean-ups: Perform seasonal clean-ups including raking leaves, removing dead plants, and clearing pathways. Dispose of green waste in accordance with local regulations.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean gardening tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
• Landscape Enhancement: Assist in the design and implementation of landscape enhancements such as new garden beds, walkways. Provide input on plant selection and placement based on knowledge of local climate and soil conditions.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in gardening or landscaping preferred.
• Knowledge of plant care techniques including pruning, and planting preferred.
• Ability to operate gardening equipment such as pruners, shears, and lawn mowers safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and kneeling for extended periods.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A passion for horticulture and a desire to contribute to the beauty and sustainability of outdoor spaces.

Work Schedule:

This is a part-time position. Occasional weekend work may be required during peak seasons or for special projects.
