What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Document Control I position at Austal?
REPORTS TO : Quality Lead
SUPERVISES : N / A
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensure compliance to the Quality Document Control processes and procedures
- Retrieve documents from several facilities on the Austal campus.
- File documents (hardcopy) in the designated location.
- Scan and save documents (PDF) in the designated locations—network drives.
- Maintain inventory levels for the Quality tool cabinet. Order items as needed.
- Responsible for tracking results for the Welder certification process.
- Responsible for tracking surveys through approval process.
- Responsible for interfacing with internal and external customers.
- Consult with Production and Quality liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in tracking production metrics.
- Compile and maintain various required metric documentation.

- Complies with Austal’s employee handbook general guidelines, company procedures and policies.
