Metals manufacturer is looking for a Chemist who has experience in a manufacturing facility testing raw materials, goods during the manufacturing process, and finished goods to ensure they comply with quality standards. You’ll use a variety of lab testing equipment & work with multiple departments in the facility. This is an awesome opportunity to use your BS Chemistry degree & experience or internship.

As the Chemist this manufacturing facility, your responsibilities will include:

· Analyze raw & finished goods for quality specs

· Use internal quality control practices to ensure conformity of products.

· Focus on the chemical processing and testing procedures using various computerized instruments or wet/gravimetric techniques

· Ensure that all lab equipment is maintained and operating optimally

· Comply with environmental, EPA, OSHA regulations

· Maintain accurate and complete records of work results and activities

· Provide technical support to HSE group on product MSDS and the Supply Chain group for raw material sourcing

· Use some/all of the following equipment: X-Ray (XRF) & (XRD), Gas Chromatography, ICP, ISE, Spark Optical Emission Spectroscopy, TGA.

Requirements for this Chemist position:

· Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy, or similar degree

· At least 2 years’ experience manufacturing chemical laboratory environment (internships count).
