Position Overview :
In this role as a Manufacturing Engineer or Engineering Technician, you will directly support the operations at the Greenfield Products location in Union City, TN. You will support both tactical and strategic goals / objectives through the implementation of lean principles of manufacturing, documentation and improvement of manufacturing methods, implementation of capital equipment and advancement of manufacturing technology throughout the operations.
Essential Functions :
- Write and maintain process routers and work center instructions.
- Lean Visual Factory process and initiatives.
- Leads Small Group Improvement Activity Teams. Support and / or facilitate 5S and Kaizen activities.
- Develop manufacturing plans to implement continuous improvement projects.
- Perform cost engineering and standard analysis on products and processes.
- Assist with the development of capital plans for introducing or replacing machinery and equipment.
- Perform capacity and factory layout analyses.
- Audit and Approve ECRs / ECNs for new product and for current product and process.
- Develop new processes and propose new machinery and equipment to support cost reduction, productivity and throughput improvements.
- Understand and implement Lean principles and practices in all manufacturing decisions. Develop 5-Why root cause analysis environment.
- Coordinate with Operations to define best practices and resolve manufacturing issues.
- Participate in and conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) assessments as required to detect and correct potential safety issues on the shop floor.

Top candidates will have 5 years of experience in aforementioned engineering discipline and a proven track record of leading multiple projects and teams. Top candidates will also possess at minimum a Six Sigma Greenbelt.
