Innovative Staff Solutions is hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer for a client in a town close to Hopkinsville, KY. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for a mix of work focus activity that may include the support of existing production products and technical assignments that support larger projects. This is a first shift (7 am-4 pm), hands on opportunity with growth potential working for a designer and manufacturer of precision drive solutions for the industrial, commercial, and consumer markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mix of work focus activity may include support of existing production products and technical assignments that support larger projects
- Selects techniques to solve problems and makes sound process and programming recommendations that are capable with basic Operator training. Assesses results for applicability, validity and conformance with design and customer specifications.
- Prepares and delivers various reports on process results related to Performance Metrics
- Includes non-routine work and therefore requires modification of standard techniques. Work problems are such that they require application of technical principles, tools and knowledge gained from previous work experience. Independently performs most assignments.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes. Works with Product Engineering, suppliers and customers to design processes that meet established safety, quality, and delivery and production metrics. Assist in real time, hands-on troubleshooting production process failures affecting machining and customer performance.
- Communicate orally and in writing regarding the technical details of new and existing products
- Use identified CAD/CAM programs to develop concepts and process improvements
- Review and act on supplier non-conformance’s
- Review and act on both Machining non-conformances and customer complaints
Skills & Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S. in Engineering or Manufacturing Technology) from four-year college or university with 2 years of post-degree engineering work experience or equivalent; or a MS degree in engineering
- 3-5 years Industrial Technology experience
