Position Overview : We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in analyzing and optimizing our kitting line. The intern will be involved in conducting time studies, simulations, and physical pilots, culminating in a comprehensive business case analysis and recommendation for implementing a one-piece flow manufacturing process.
How you will thrive and create an impact :
- Time Studies : Conduct detailed time studies to analyze the current kitting line processes, identify bottlenecks, and measure cycle times.
- Simulations : Develop and run simulations to model different scenarios and predict the impact of changes on the kitting line efficiency.
- Physical Pilot : Assist in the reorganization of the kitting line to test proposed improvements in a real-world setting.
- Data Analysis : Collect and analyze data from time studies, simulations, and physical pilots to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Business Case Analysis : Prepare a comprehensive business case analysis, including cost-benefit analysis, to support the implementation of a one-piece flow manufacturing process.
- Recommendations : Develop and present recommendations for transitioning to a one-piece flow manufacturing process, highlighting potential benefits and challenges.
- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of process improvements.
- Documentation : Maintain detailed documentation of all analyses, simulations, and pilot results.
