Summary
This position is with Waterstone LSP, LLC, a subsidiary of b1BANK. The SBA Servicing Manager is responsible for the servicing actions of loans already closed by the partner banks. Working closely with the underwriting, packaging and closing departments of Waterstone LSP, the position also requires coordination with partner lenders and their borrowers.
Specific Job Functions
- Documentation Review: Work closely with origination, processing, and underwriting teams to review loan approval letters, credit write-ups, and other relevant documents to establish understanding of the loan going into servicing after origination.
- Disbursements: Work with the small business borrower, lender and third-party vendors to document draws on multiple disbursement loans.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to verify the accuracy and completeness of loan documentation. Understand and work on any file exceptions post-closing.
- Problem Loans: Work closely with lenders and borrowers on the following:
- NSF Payments
- Loan Deferments
- Servicing Actions
- Guaranty Repurchases
- Universal Purchase Packages
- Wrap-up/Charge-off Packages
- Care and Preservation of Collateral Packages
- 1502 Reporting: Serve as a back-up for any 1502 reporting needs
- Payment Reconciliations: Serve as a back-up for any payment processing/remittance reconciliations with lenders
- Communication: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including loan officers, underwriters, and legal teams.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Eight (8) – Ten (10) years’ experience in SBA servicing and liquidations understanding SBA SOP 50 10 and SOP 50 57
- Attention to Detail: Meticulously review loan documents to ensure compliance.
- Knowledge of SBA SOP: Familiarity with the SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for loan programs.
- Commercial Lending Experience: Understanding of commercial lending processes.
- Effective Communication: Ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly with various teams.
