About the Role
The Controller leads the accounting team and is responsible for all facets of our budgeting, forecasting, reporting, trade working capital and inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the efficient and accurate financial management of our company, and provide valuable insights and recommendations to drive business growth
- Manage receivables and payables, monitoring cash flow, and conduct financial audits
- Monitor budgets and financial performance, identifying trends and recommending improvements
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring accurate and timely payments and collections
- Manage cash flow and forecasting, and make recommendations for optimal cash management strategies
- Manage and oversee all cost accounting functions, including inventory valuation and accuracy, COGs and manufacturing overhead
- Ensure procedures and internal controls are followed in compliance with corporate financial manual and assist with audit and compliance activities
- Fixed asset tracking and management
- Manage / support 3rd party annual audit
- Manage inventory accuracy processes including cycle counting and physical inventory
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- 8 years of experience in finance and accounting, ideally for a manufacturing company
- Expertise in fixed asset accounting, cost analysis for manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work effectively with tight deadlines to meet monthly/quarterly/annual reporting requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite
