As an intern in the Trip Development department, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in booking contracts, professional communication, data validation/integrity and an understanding of how trips are designed and executed. You will work on a variety of projects that will contribute to the success of our organization. What You'll Do: Reviewing and editing contract documents for accuracy and high quality Data validation audits to ensure data accuracy (both in our internal systems) and reviewing available online data Who You Are: A Scholar on the Move: Currently enrolled at an accredited university or college. Organized and Efficient: Juggling multiple tasks and deadlines is your superpower. Communication Connoisseur: Excellent written skills with an eye for detail and the ability to compare two sets of data for accuracy and edit documents to ensure they are both accurate and meet professional communication standards. Team Player Extraordinaire: You thrive in collaborative environments and bring a positive attitude to every task. Fast Learner: Ask all the questions, never assume you should already know something, and thus shouldn't ask for clarification. About the Hotel Operations Department: The Hotel Operations team is comprised of 17 people: several very tenured members and some newer team members within the last year. This is a very collaborative and fun team that supports one another. We are a core part of sustaining and growing the business as running trips is dependent on hotel contracts each year. We work closely with both our hotel partners and multiple departments within Backroads. Why Backroads? Salary Ranges: $0.00 - $1,000.00 Our office roles are onsite in our Berkeley headquarters, unless specifically noted as 'available for remote'. We do allow one work-from-home day a week, as well as one work-from-anywhere week per year. This pay range is intended for in-person work in our Berkeley, CA headquarters. Pay ranges for remote-eligible roles will be subject to adjustment based on the geolocation of the employee.
