What are the responsibilities and job description for the Energy Regulatory Associate position at Baker Botts?
Baker Botts is seeking an associate attorney with three to six years of energy regulatory experience to join the Energy Regulatory group within the Firm’s Global Projects Department. Preferred offices include Austin, Houston or Washington, D.C.
The practice includes: 1. Counseling and administrative litigation covering market-based rate, market design, generation interconnection, and transmission issues. 2. Compliance and enforcement matters before FERC, the CFTC, and various exchanges, including investigations, audits and regulatory compliance work.3. Transactional support for energy M&A and financing transactions. Experience with the above types of matters is a plus.
