Bankers’ Bank of the West (BBW) is a community bank service provider (other banks are our customers). Founded in 1980, BBW provides essential products and services to 250 community bank clients in the western states and Great Plains region. PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Perform all necessary credit underwriting, analysis and loan presentation for new and existing portfolio. Work in concert with lenders and loan operations as needed to maintain credit files. Other financial analysis and preparation of reports as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform credit analysis and written presentations on all loans and loan participations as requested.
- Prepare materials for all loan and discount committee meetings. Perform required follow-up as directed by Loan Committee. Act as secretary to the Loan Committee.
- Constantly analyze and monitor all Federal Funds purchase lines. Monitor all customer banks for deterioration and notify Committee as appropriate.
- Spread, review, and analyze semi-annual information on present and requested bank stock loans.
- Prepare loan documents and modifications as requested.
- Perform necessary on-sight due diligence on bank stock loan subsidiary banks.
- Keep informed of all loan regulations as they apply to banks.
- Maintain loan files ensuring all credit files include current financial statements, agency reports, etc.
- Maintain control over current accounts, noting payment progress, watch for any developing problems, and keep loan officers informed.
- Analyze financial statements and related material.
- Prepare summaries, present facts, and offer opinions concerning credit-worthiness.
- Keep abreast of current and competitive rates and incorporate such into maintaining a reasonable profit.
- Train new credit analysts as needed.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED
- Minimum of three years of related work experience in the commercial lending field.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance preferred (or equivalent years of related work experience may substitute).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of banking regulations and procedures.
- Proficient in financial analysis.
- Proficient in credit analysis and understanding of rating structure.
- Good computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.
- Exceptionally self-motivated and directed to define, prioritize, and complete tasks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Professional office in downtown Denver, Colorado or Lincoln, Nebraska.
- 7:30 am – 4:30 pm MT, Monday-Friday with extended hours as necessary; may be remote if approved.
- Computer and telephone usage for extended periods of time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
